Hello there! I'm Megan Marquardt -- also known as Purapea on the internet space, a queer part-time artist based in Nottingham, UK. I spend a lot of my time drawing things with queer narratives, urban fantasy and plus sized body positive art, as well as a lot of DND characters as pin-ups.I enjoy working in Risography--a really cool printing process originally from Japan that's sort of like screen printing and photocopying rolled into one and like using the method for making all my comics and zines.Outside of art, I also work part time in a brewery, play way too many video games and get distracted a lot by my cat.
Most of my content is digital illustration or riso printed and self-published comics! I also like making beak zines! The themes in my work tend to focus on body positivity, lgbtqi+ supportive narratives, monster girls and dungeon and dragons fantasy. If you are interested in getting some custom illustrations by me, check out my commissions page!
